Leonardo Da Vinci has to be one of my favourite draughtsman. The way in which he tried to understand the world around him and create ideas centuries before his time through countless drawings is so inspirational. His observations on anatomy were clearly an invaluable process as he tried to comprehend the complex mechanics of the human body and it is these sketches that inspired the following project on The Future of Medicine. it was an article that discussed the possible advances in medicine within the next 50 years and I decided to approach this brief as Leonardo Da Vinci would've done, observing the future through his drawings. As always I love the irony that exists with using history of art to depict something modern, even futuristic.
